Elon Musk demonstrates his power by buying ABC to cancel The View and calls it the ‘worst show in the history of television.

Elon Musk calls for a boycott of The View , sparking a media storm

Elon Musk, the mogul behind Tesla and X (formerly Twitter), has reignited controversy after calling for a boycott of  The View , calling it a “gathering place for ignorant women.” His statement, made on his own platform, quickly went viral, sparking an intense response from the show’s cast.

Musk’s comment did not go unnoticed. Joy Behar, one of the show’s longest-serving hosts, sarcastically responded: “I didn’t know Elon had so much free time between making defective cars and losing money on X.” Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg defended the show’s importance, saying that The View represents “a space to debate issues of national relevance with a diverse female perspective.”

Meanwhile, Ana Navarro was even more direct: “Is this the same man who claims to fight for freedom of expression but cannot stand opinions contrary to his own?” Her response generated applause from the audience and quickly went viral on social media.

The controversy has divided public opinion. While some Musk supporters support his call for a boycott, accusing the show of being “biased,” others consider his words an unnecessary and misogynistic attack. On X, the hashtag #BoycottTheView became a trending topic, but hashtags such as #ElonMisogynist also emerged in response to his remarks.
