Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are keeping things low-key and apparently, an engagement is on the cards!
While they’ve largely stayed out of the public eye lately, multiple sources have confirmed that the couple has been making the most of their downtime, traveling together and soaking up their rare off-season freedom. With Taylor recuperating from her massive Eras Tour and Travis in NFL off-season mode, the pair are prioritizing something they don’t often get: privacy.
“They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it,” a source told People. “They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It’s a special time for them.”
The insider also noted that the couple is “very serious and in sync,” revealing they’re intentionally staying out of the spotlight right now. “They value the same things,” the source added. “Right now, the focus is very much on private time out of the spotlight.”
After a year and a half of dating, it sounds like things may be moving toward the next chapter. Back in February, Us Weekly reported that Travis and Taylor were “on the same page about taking the next step.” Another insider teased a potential proposal while the couple is on vacation: “Those close to them actually think [Travis may propose] while they’re away.”
Even though the internet has been buzzing for months with engagement rumors, neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce has confirmed anything. Still, multiple sources close to the couple say they’re using this downtime to strengthen their bond, especially after spending most of the past year juggling tour stops and football games.
“They can finally just be together without the outside noise,” said an insider.
And for Taylor? While she’s known for being measured and cautious with major life decisions, insiders suggest she sees Travis as long-term material. A December 2024 source noted, “Taylor does feel like Travis is The One, but jumping in is not her style. That’s just not how she does [things]. Marriage is a big deal, and she wants [it to be] forever.”
Despite skipping Coachella this year, Taylor and Travis have been spotted out and about in low-key locales, including Montana, where the pair was seen enjoying some downtime.
From the outside, it’s clear something special is brewing. And from the inside? The people who know them best are saying the same thing: this is the real deal.
